Talking about OSB

In the past five years, the production of OSB in my country has increased rapidly, with a production capacity of about 2 million cubic meters. The term OSB has also become popular in recent years. The reason is that as people's requirements for quality of life gradually increase, they are more and more interested in environmentally friendly products, which has led to a continuous increase in demand and price of OSB boards and OSB products. OSB is an imported product that came out in the 1970s and is a common base material for decoration wood in European and American countries. The full name is (Oriented Strandboard). Because it originated in Europe, it is referred to as European pine board in China. It is a multi-layer structural board made of large pieces of wood shavings of specified shape and thickness, which are oriented and laid after gluing and then hot-pressed. Because its surface shavings are arranged in a directional manner along the length or width of the board, its scientific name is "Oriented Strand Board". OSB has been popular in Europe for more than 40 years and investment in this sector has increased year by year. Now it has obviously shown a rapid growth in the decoration of high-end users such as villas and large flats in my country, which also shows that it has incomparable superior performance.

Stable structure: OSB has a directional structure inside, with no joints, gaps or cracks, good overall uniformity and high internal bonding strength. It is used in the design of home-decorated full-length cabinet doors and has excellent anti-deformation ability.

Strong nail holding force: OSB is made of large pieces of wood shavings with strict shape and thickness, glued and oriented for hot pressing, with higher density and strength, and has a nail holding force that ordinary boards cannot match. No matter where the screws are stressed, they are solid areas.

Excellent load-bearing and impact resistance: OSB has a large number of long wood fibers, and the upper and lower layers are symmetrical with the core layer. The surface wood chips are arranged longitudinally, and the core layer is arranged transversely. This overlapping and staggered structure gives the finished board excellent mechanical properties and internal stability, and can bear loads for a long time. In the United States, OSB is commonly used in commercial and residential buildings for wall panels, roof panels and floor panels. Due to the strong physical and mechanical properties and moisture resistance of the board, it can be used as a load-bearing or even high-strength load-bearing in dry or wet places.

Good processing performance

OSB restructures the wood grain structure and eliminates the influence of wood internal stress on processing, making it extremely easy to process. Like logs, OSB can be cut, drilled, planed and processed by fixed mechanical equipment and hand-held tools.
